Copernico is an initiative for economic promotion, aimed at improving the visibility of the Ticino abroad, increasing the awareness of investment opportunities in the Ticino, and encouraging the establishment of new enterprises on a cantonal level.
What kind of support is offered by the Office of Economic Promotion?
The entrepreneurs will work with only one intermediary, who is able to assist them in the handling of administrative matters in connection with the startup and development of business activities.
This allows for more effective relationships between investors and public institutions and helps to simplify bureaucratic formalities, reduce waiting periods, and involve in a timely manner the pertaining services of the State.
What are the results from the copernico program?
From 1997 to 2007, thanks to the copernico program with economic and fiscal incentives, the
Ticino has attracted 181 new enterprises.
